Sacred Hour Spa’s new 10,000-square-foot Lakewood location officially opened in late April 2025. Situated on the St. James campus in downtown Lakewood, the building was transformed from the old priest rectory living quarters to a world class day spa unlike anything else in the region. This historic building, constructed in the 1950s, has a chateau-like charm with its limestone exterior and solid concrete floors complemented by spacious hallways.

The new location is the largest spa in the area and features 11 dedicated treatment rooms, a custom 20-person dry sauna, cold plunge, Salt Therapy Lounge, dedicated Korean Scrub Suite and Nail Studio. Guests can also enjoy couples’ spaces, The Social Lounge + Bar, private men’s and women’s locker areas, and a serene outdoor oasis. This ambitious new location makes Sacred Hour the largest spa of its kind in the area—solidifying its status as a destination for both locals and wellness travelers alike.

Owner Tabitha Baker says, “Our ultimate vision for Sacred Hour is even greater than its refreshed location; we want to become a central hub for wellness, encouraging the community to prioritize their health and well-being through curated services and scientifically proven wellness practices. The new location is crucial in facilitating this vision because it will allow us to create dedicated spaces for workshops and collaborative projects.”

Slate Interiors Studio developed the interior schemes based on Tabitha Baker’s vision. Contractors at One Constructive executed this historic renovation with the utmost attention to detail. Bridget Hrdlicka, founder of Slate, explains, “Tabitha came to us with the most incredible vision, shaped by her travels around the world. We took that inspiration and blended it with the soul (and constraints) of the original building to create something really special. Shoutout to the contractors, One Constructive, for making it happen.”
